I received the Lidar for Ronin RS3 Pro, anyone know what this is for?

The stickers on each side say: TO LIDAR & TO RS# PRO

The Lidar opeartes properly without it using normal USB c wires connected to the Lidare & RS3 Pro.

Forgive me, I can't find another thread for this, searched under 'wire', 'inline', 'cable', 'lidar'. Mind sharing a link to the other thread? Or filling me in on this? Curious what this cable is for, can't find anything on it, nothing in user guide.
