I’m not entirely sure DT.   There’s no signs that I’ve seen but there does appear to have a lot of gravel coming out.

Apart from the sweet corn fields that are very green like the one right of the horizon.   Mind you they are constantly watering those fields.   

Interesting shot. Funny how the cut the roads/bridges.

I figured it might be some type of stone or rocks.  So gravel it is.

I did some research and they just call it aggregates.

Ahh, yes the old sand, gravel, and crushed stone.  Some of the components needed to make cement or mortar.

Funnily enough they do make what we call ready mix cement and have lorries that churn the cement to stop it setting.

See those trucks around new housing developments here once in a while.  They must have been pouring foundations, sidewalks or driveways I'm guessing.

Here you can use them for any concrete need,   Even a small shed base.  Not the cheapest way but usually very convenient.    Did you ever see where mythbusters blew one up?

I think vaporise might be a better description,  they used to much explosives.

Indeed they did.  Supposed they were being advised by an FBI explosives expert.  Guess he wasn't as much of an expert as they thought.

Yes they are still quarrying there and as I found out recently they make cement onsite and ship it out to building sites etc.

When I was there they had some big machines but no real movement that I noticed.
