Built in the 1830's for a local cotton tycoon, High Lea Hall bears the nickname Farthing Hall, for some obscure reason to do with coins of that denomination, of the era.

We're indoors for the rest of the day. It's already reaching 30 degrees outside.

That's a lot of chimney stacks on top of the roof.  Must be a particular reason for that but it does escape me at the moment.

Thanks RDB. It is a lot of chimneys.  I guess there must be a fireplace in each room.

That would make sense then.  I've seen a few older houses in the Northeastern US that have several rooms in a house with a fireplace but then they all join in one location just before they exit the roof.  Guess it is all just a matter of design.  

Weather looks good so far so I'm headed out for a dive in the lake.

I did get in a short dive before the storm with the massive lightning showed up.  Been inside ever since so figured time to check out the forum again.  It is a bit quiet in here tonight.

We're keeping to the shade as much as possible.
Got in another dawn patrol this morning.
Tried a vertical pano, and a moonshot as it was still high in the sky.
It was just a dot on the resulting image however, even with zoom.

I think you need to, I was planning on an early one today but SHMBO'd is still sleeping,  and tomorrow shes going to try the loop so I dont want to get on the wrong side.

It was cloudy this morning, but the sun is out now and the wind is getting up.

It's 25.5 degrees in here already.  We shall be staying indoors again today I suspect, with a bit of a breeze through the windows - curtains drwan to keep the direct sun out.

My house is terrible for the heat,  its 27c in the hall and Ive got doors/windows open.   

Last nights grass fire spread 2km so I feel I should make a follow video of it.   Albeit one thats shorter.

lol.   Did you see my last fire footage,  it was a bit long but I got some epic views of inside the smoke and all the "bits" flying about and the fire itself.
