Not quite a Thousand Oaks sunset, but a couple of nights ago my other half spotted the sky going a bit orange and thought there might be a nice sunset coming.

She suggested I put the Mini 2 up just in case, and this was the result

Yeah, lots going on at the moment getting in the way of the fun stuff. Not getting the drive up as often as if like, and I still haven't had a chance to cut the Devon stuff yet...

Nice one NOT,    If you shot that with raw turned on you could probably put a graduated mask on the bottom and lift the exposure a little.

I do also have raw switched on, but just quickly processed that one on my phone with Snapseed.

Once I get a chance - when real life stops getting in the way! - I'll get this onto my laptop and see what I can do with it in a full photo editing package.

That said, I quite liked the silvery mystery of the landscape against the fiery sky, with the bright reflection in the reservoir (that reflection only became really bright as I reached max alt, so was lucky there)

Oh by the way, first rule is always listen to the other half or just nod occasionally.

She has a really good eye for photo composition, but how she managed to spot this sunset from ground level is beyond me... There were just a few vaguely orange clouds visible from where we were sat at the time.

It a view looking north west over the Queen Mary Reservoir. (From far enough away to be outside of the LHR enhanced warning zone!)

Very top left of the picture could just about be showing Heathrow T5... But I haven't zoomed in enough to see it.
