congrats on finding it.a month? that's insane hopefully it starts up for you no problems interesting to see the durability and how much neglect these things can take.

go by your map, its is accurate to within 10 meters or 30' i believe.

I was able to scour all data.  I had done some trig calculations to guestimate where it could be based on the last frame of video I got from it and after recovring the card finally, it showed that it had zipped off another 200 feet away, then descended ever so gently and lodged in a bush under its foliage. I should have been able to see it, as I was all over that area, even with a thermal cam, but the foliage stopped me from getting a fix on it.  Sure would like to see those guys put an help button or a tone button on it to have it scream out the powerup sound. That would have saved me a lot of time.  Its as easy as a button a jump routine I'm sure, but easier said than done I bet.

We all know and love that wonderful tune your P3 plays when it starts up and it is nice and loud and sometimes annoying




Id like to see a place in the app where you can optionally set it to play that sound or similar audible noise every minute or so, if for instance, it goes into fail safe mode and you lose control or it goes down in a thick forested area. Great for that forest recovery and your tracking thru the trees looking for your downed aircraft.. Just a thought.

Note the word OPTIONALY set for the critics

Mine is marked "Reward if found" with my phone number on the bottom just in case i don’t ever find it.

there is at least one new video online on screwtube on taking that camera apart.  The area between the board inside and the lens may need cleaning with a lens wipe towlette.

If you do that , use a damn good screw driver to get the four black screws . they are the softest metal I think China has.

My camera worked flawless after the incident, but didnt move, i guess the gimball motor damaged, sent to DJI for repairs...

Putting in new optics tonight from a partted camera from screwBay.   There are some water beads that just wont come out and I didnt want to have to unglue all that focus ring stuff. Easier for me to just get replacement optics.

I tacked mine on away from the GPS area (top center)
