This steep road over the moors has been a categorised climb in the Tour of Britain cycle race.
Several years ago it featured in a stage of the Tour de France, when they began organising starts in neighbouring countries.
The antenna mast on the hill is Holme Moss. Shot with the Mavic2Zoom.

I've just done a quick hand-catch  test on the Mini3Pro after what you said yesterday about the latest firmware update.  Flipped it over and the motors stopped fine - just like before.
I had switched to Sport mode to deactivate the sensors first, as I always do.

I haven't flown since to test it again,   it might just have been a fluke,  just surprising it happened and then someone else posted about it.

I'm relieved it still works - I've just got used to landing it that way.

Very cool shot Mr B actually so intrigued I took a Streetview trip up there, think I started the opposite side this was taken! Had a guy on a motorcycle about to head on me all the way up :-)  Interesting coming down this side stumbled into this issue which is apparently looking at this post a big Google Streetview issue...  Streetview reduced distance per click.

Anyway a very scenic trip, thank you :-)

It's OK going up was fine, coming down ran into issues. On the other side I see a couple of interesting reservoirs, on the visitation list?

Yeah, one of them is in the can already, waiting to be edited. (From the same flight as this shot)

Awesome shot Mr. B.    I'd love to tackle that windy road on my Harley motorcycle but not my eBike.    Easy to see why it would be a favorite climb by serious cyclists.

Definitely something wrong with his bike  he's going way too fast   We have the Remarkable mountain range at 2319m near where I live in Queenstown and ski resort at 1600m. There is a road starting at around 350m up to the ski resort. Great place to test your metal! In my case it was testing how far my e-bike would lug me up the hill before the battery died I was quite surprised with my big lump plus  a camera backpack laden with gear I got to about 1450m high after biking about 12-13km. Didn't do it in 15 mins either more like 1.5-2 hours and I was pretty puffed but good to know your vertical range on the e-bike. Favourite pass time these days is heading off with the drone and camera into offroad tracks not even accessible for 4WD on the e-bike. Great times

I was toying with the idea of getting a folding eBike for the boot of the car.
But I think I'm getting a bit long in the tooth for those kind of expeditions.
And if the battery ran out I'd be screwed

Lol always pick a route that generally rises going in then coming out is a breeze :-) Is insane where they can take you (and back!)

Nice capture.  That's probably not an awful climb on a bike, but on a day that includes over 100 KM of riding and probably additional climbs, made in late July, one could be forgiven for thinking it a significant challenge. Thanks for sharing this image.

In my youth I thought nothing of a 100 mile cycle ride, which I used to often do, and then a couple of hours fitness training the same evening.  
But that was in the dim and distant past, so it takes me all my time to drive up there now.

Its beautiful this morning here,  but like you have to take the MIL for a diabetic eye test,  hopefully will visit a canal whilst shes in there.
