Revisited the King's Hut, a small castle ruin set on a hill in the eastern part of the Harz mountains. It's around 460 m high. The castle is first mentioned in 1312. In 1709 it already was ruined. After a hike of two miles we reach the end of the reservoir with a nice wide gap that the Rekon 5 took in its stride - the DJI Mavic Air didn't want to go through in 2020 so I had to fake it - you may remember.
Last shots are from the stairs and tower of the Wurmberg, with 971 m the second highest mountain of the Harz region.
I have never experienced the Harz mountains in such a dynamic way. Very impressive camera movements! I would not dare to do that – a pano at the Bode dam would be enough for me ;-)

Thank you. I started with a camera drone (you can see my first Harz vids on my Youtube channel) but after 1,5 years added fpv which I think is much more fun to fly. Still there are good uses for camera drones as well. Love to mix them both...
Don't mind a pano from the Bode dam either ;-)

Thanks, DA. Eyes shut and full throttle ;-) Well, a bit of practice, a bit of so what? and a well balanced fpv quad goes a long way.
I guess the worse that happens if you trim the hedges.
That's an order-from-China-wait-and-solder-on-yourself-job. It wasn't a DJI drone (just their Air Unit and Goggles). You're supposed to do stuff like that yourself and it's even doable.

Yes, it's an fpv drone, the Flywoo Venom H20. It has a Caddx Vista (which everyone assumes is from DJI) inside.
If I crashed (and "burned") the Mini 2 I'd send it to DJI (got a few months of care refresh left anyway.).

Well, the DJI fpv I wouldn't try to repair myself either.
But I wouldn't fly it in such a tight environment anyway: too big, too loud, too twitchy.
Well, it'll be interesting but probably not: 1. it's not below 250 g
2. I don't expect the camera/stabilization to be as good as GoPro/Reelsteady
3. I don't expect it to be as durable/crash-resistant as a normal fpv drone.
But we'll see.

Yes and I must admit that I was pretty angry: A total clickbait: no images from the Avata at all, just his (admittedly very good) flying with other drones (unless I skipped the relevant part). And I didn't see a crash either.

Not really, no.
Just had the same conversation with DA yesterday.

We'll see if DJI pulls something else out of the hat that we don't know yet.
I like the ability to press stop and to easily land and to adjust the camera angle while flying. And maybe the flight time though they really exaggerated that with their first fpv drone.
Also I'm very happy with my current cinewhoops - Cinelog 25 and Venom H20.
Okay, after watching a few videos about it I'm really impressed.
I would buy it if it were below 250 g or if I didn't have a bunch of other 250+g drones already.
One thing I don't know if my glasses would fit below the goggles 2 (they do below goggles V2).
And one thing I think is stupid is the bundling with the Motion Controller...
Just answered Downtown who asked the same thing:

But you can buy it drone only and use your existing goggles and radio controller.
