As a new product comes out, there is that feeling like "oh let me see first how it goes, better wait for some video and reviews". I had intention to go into FPV although i never tried that, seems to be fun, although i just got my m3p that fully met my expectations. Surely DJI is a good company, if they would make a discount to DJI product owners, will increase their sale and have more happy customers.

I would like to buy,  but not with the motion controller.
I probably wait until they have a bundle with the FPV controller and the new Goggles.

Hell no. The FPV was my first n last dji drone.
DJI dropped support for the FPV. No updates, no new features. NOTHING.

Oh, how I wish for Skydio to come to Europe!

Probably not. I am keeping an eye on the new goggles and the O3 Air Unit, though. Depending on how those look, I might get those...

I'm more tempted by the Mini3 Pro tbh...

I want to get into FPV and I will definitely buy this one since i skip the first one.

Yes as long as I can buy just the Avata.  It works with the v2 goggles and as long as the regular controller from the first DJI FPV system can be used I am 100% in.  I have the first DJI FPV and I really like it a lot as a cinematic and fast FPV drone with some safety features.  It’s not like my self built or bind and fly FPV drones but it has a spot in my collection and I think the Avata will too.

Yes. Any bundle only with the drone and new goggles? What are the low light camera specs?

DJI Sucked me in!  Just ordered the Avata only, no controller or goggles since my DJI FPV controller, goggles and motion controller all work.  However, DJI website only allows you to ?Reserve" the aircraft only.  That is OK with me, not in a hurry!

I'll buy IF (and only IF) they announce support for the DJI FPV and Air units v1...

the googles 2 and drone look great, but without this compatibility , it means carrying around 2 sets of goggles and possibly investing in more air units (v2)
for that inconvenience , the gains are simply not enough...

I might as well buy a cinewhoop, and use my existing air units/action 2, much cheaper, and I only have to carry one set of goggles etc.
and then I can wait for a bigger jump when DJI release googles 3 or 4 and its drone ;)

really its an own goal by DJI... as a DJI FPV and w/ air units...
I would 100% go for an avata drone if it was compatible, and similar Id buy the new goggles 2, Id even likely update to v2 air units.

BUT , its a lot of $$$$, Id want to do this one bit at a time...e.g. migrate some of my planes/drones to v2 air units, and not others that I use less..
similarly, continue to use my DJI FPV... with new goggles. (due to size)

but without that... its just another ecosystem to invest in.... so I'll wait will the bigger leap in tech.

Not buying unless here is backwards compatiblity for the Goggles 2 with the DJI FPV Drone and the v1 air units.

I would buy the whole combo IF the Goggles 2 were backwards compatible with my Air / Vista units I have in 11 custom builds. Until then I have no use for a cinewhoop and a set of new goggles that only support one drone.

Great, you will have a ball. You will use the Controller 2. Lucky you got one, didnt know its available again. That motion controller will drive you crazy. The real fun is flying in manual mode and you cant do that with the motion controller.

I decided not to buy.
I was considering A2s now i think about used Mavic Pro due ATTI Mode possibility

i also put my avata (drone only) purchase on hold.  no incentive to buy today since i see no golden ticket, no discounts, supply seems to be ample.  i would love to have goggles 2 so hoping those will be sold separately.

encourage everyone to watch this video.  the original dji fpv, the speed is just insane.  i wish avata were just as fast.

I'm sure DJI could apply the principles used to make a drone quiet while keeping it durable at the same time.

In the case of the above video, it is a custom made drone so durability is directly linked to the owner's skills.

I hear ya.  Though, I had the Skydio 2 for a while and honestly got bored of it quite quickly.  Only so much I felt I could do with it.  FPV just keeps me more entertained / excited about the things I could do with it.  Hard to explain but was only slightly more exciting than flying a traditional camera drone.

But, totally understand wanting to at least test out for yourself.

Not ordered yet, but will be soon! I already have the DJI FPV, and the Avata supplements what it can do. It doesn't replace it. So, obviously, I have to have one of each! :-)

agreed but i don't need two motion controllers and don't want to pay super extra for goggles2.
