Coming from the Ronin SC,
I am so surprised (and disappointed) to find that my latest upgrade to the RS3, which boasts higher specs and payload, now only has one (!) small mounting hole on the handle base.
I use this on a monopod, steadicam rig, vest, etc.
I have seen these little screws snap before you know it, there is quite some strain on that point, not to forget the anti-rotation issue. This is veeery scary!!

Can we bring the 2 size holes back how we had it on the SC etc, pretty please ;-)
Happy to buy another battery grip if I have to.Below: this was the SC, great!!

SC battery grip. nice. I want this for the RS3

Could you use a cheese plate on the side to attach a mount?

I know this would make the setup heavier, but the mount should be full metal... no plastic at all.

How would you mount something on the two holes? Also, where is the battery in your monopod setup? Below the plate?
Maybe DJI can estimate how much strain you can put on the screws. They might be full metal but are anchored correctly inside.

any standard base plate should give you the option to modify the number and position of screw attachments.

Why would you need 2 holes?

2 attachment points will reduce the physical strain on each.
Safety. One breaks, the other one still holds.
It also serves as an 'anti-rotation' lock, thus further eliminating the risk of accidental loosening etc

Kinda makes sense.
