Is there any point to your posting?
It seems that in post #18 on page #1 the OP has accepted that flying with the cover on is a bad idea

Just wanted to make sure he finally realized it was a bad idea, and maybe save him a few bucks in repair costs. So please settle down,as there is no need to fly off the handle.

I am not flying off the handle and have no need to settle down, I merely asked you a question.

Your question was answered above. But others brought up the same thing I did.
We were commenting on an unreal thing for him to do.So in the end that's the best I can
give you .I was not the only one to have the same comment. No need to reply as it is not
worth it.Trying to be decent here, but everyone takes it in a different way.
Have a good day.

The entire of concept of this post proves that just when you think you have seen it all....

Seriously.  Take the gimbal guard off.  This is beyond ridiculous.
Ha is this really your response. A bit arrogant arent we . I started this hobby  in 2011 so about 11 years ago by building an f550 to carry a full size slr . Three years ago I sold off all my equipment.. so I decided to get back in and bought a cheap mini 2 ... I feel like im sorr of an advaced user at this point and I actually came to see if leaving the gimbal
Protector on was alright , mainly because Im teaching my daughter to fly . Your response is the reason people dont ask questions on forums .this is a sad flex "bro". If your over the age of 15 I feel really bad for you

I apologize my response was not up to your standards of compassion, empathy, and understanding.  I am working on that, and will make every effort to remove arrogance from any communications.

I would never fly with the gimbal cover on.  This is asking for trouble.  Granted you may be protecting the gimbal from physical damage from possible impact.  You are going to burn out the gimbal motors very quickly.  The gimbal is not designed to be flown covered with the protector on it.  I don't know how this topic has gone on for two pages.

i cannot disagree with you, and all of that during 6 weeks with 2 weeks of pause  I spend hours to learn flight technique i want progress quickly and start fpv soon
Please dont forget i've made also BVLOS certification please doont accuse me of abusing, now im performing 60 hours of BVLOS missons to claim INS entitlements.
I hope ill start teach people even this year

So you want to teach people, but don't have enough common sense to do the first thing with a drone
and that's take the gimbal cover off before you fly, wow.

I left it on by accident in my house. Instead of hovering, it just blasted up to the ceiling and stuck itself there going full blast, and scratched up all 8 propellers. I had to grab it out of the air and stop it. I am not sure what would happen outside as it would probably just fly away.

When starting up the drone powers the gimbal and camera and moves it through a series of moves to check that there is no restriction to it's movement.
When you leave the cover on, it blocks this movement, overloading the motors and setting an error. You can seriously damage your gimbal leaving it on.
Your desire to protect the camera is a good one, but your idea could be damaging to your drone.

I would not recommend to do so as you will block the gimbal motors causing potential overload and error messages,

But their response gives one of the reasons not to "fly with the gimbal cover on" which is a reasonable response, although the reason may have already been mentioned.
