I was expecting the DJI goggles 2 to work with The smart controller RM500 out of the box. Is that not the case? How come a new product doesn't support features the old product did?

As of this time the DJI Goggles 2 ( https://store.dji.com/no/product/dji-fpv-goggles-v2 ) is compatible with the DJI Avata, DJI FPV, DJI Motion Controller, DJI FPV Remote Controller 2, and the DJI FPV Air Unit. Came here to ask if the Smart Controller would be compatible with the Avata at all; based on what OP is saying, can you fly the Avata with the Smart Controller but NOT the goggles? Or does the Smart Controller not fly the Avata at all?
