I havn't done a review I dont have an Avata

Of course, Ian as a youtuber based in england has the drone flying in CE, so he is getting 0.025W 5.8Ghz transmission power. The avata is not a dual-band drone, so this is the experience we'll all get in Europe unless we hack the drone to FCC (which is possible).

Other Youtubers based in USA will get the full experience, as their drones are transmitting at full power (5.8Ghz 2W).

It's sad.

Yeah, I didn't watch the whole vid, but I sure didn't see any "Bad Drone" vibe toward the Avata in the part that I saw.

Well, I got one.
Flew it for 8 minutes.
Returning it.

It isn't anywhere near as enjoyable as the FPV for me, and the Goggles 2 hurt the bridge of my nose.

Of course, DJI knows 0.025W are not enough, but they decided to give away the 2.4Ghz frequency which is what we use in Europe and put "2Km" on the box.

FCC hack was an optional thing for enthusiast that wanted to unlock the full capabilites of their DJI drones... but now is basically mandatory thanks to the lack of 2.4Ghz band.
