Is there a way to permanently change the rth altitude?   

I had a problem where I lost the downlink. My drone went straight up for a reported 250 ft, given I was standing on a 300 ft small knoll, I lost sight of it. I kept pulling the down stick and finally it started coming down but it landed under what looked like program control. I was running a GPS Waypoint program at the time using waypoints 2.0. It seems like it takes the rth altitude in the waypoints 2.0 code, but when it exits or in my case drops the link, it went back to 76 m. I would like to set it so that this doesn't happen again because for the 35 seconds that it lost the link, I thought the Drone was gone.

I saw how I could change the rth altitude on the controller and I had done that but somehow it reset back to 76 m possibly as a result of the Lost downlink and the reset that it did. I still don't understand why it lost the downlink in the first place.
