We are preparing for a science day and plannig to do some fun activites with the 5 robomaster S1. But before handing the control of the robot to the teen for the battle arena, we would like to ensure that the robot does not collide to the walls or other blocks or robots inside the arena. Is there any way to configure that behaviour with the android application?

Nope. For one thing, the Robomaster S1 has no ranging sensor so it does not know its distance from anything. The distance to other robots could be inferred through the camera but processing is kinda slow (and it is not very precise) so most likely useless in this context.

Yeah agreed, cam will be way slower. Now I just hope teens will not break it.

Don't worry, the S1 is pretty sturdy. I took the 2 that I have to some crazy battles and other than some scratches, it is perfectly fine.

I organize robot battles. Dont worry, it wont break. The quality of robot is excellent.
