True, but finding a new one becoming increasingly more difficult

37 years ago I visit the place for the first time and went to "Stinky" lake - I remember this walk (no drones then ) as my best and most beautiful  - flowers everywhere and plenty of beauty - it's imprinted in my mind since then! No Stink but also never visited by foot since then

And my feet and back (carrying the dog)  too, as most of them, are in parks forbidden or unreachable for vehicles - I have a wonderful waterfall and amazing hut in plans for years  -  but ~10 km. in one direction and some steep inclines prevent me from filming them (I do not want to sleep over at huts)

That would have to be a summer project - when the dawn comes early and the days are long.

That sounds like way to big of a challenge for a one day event, especially if you have to tote the dog.

Oh, during the years I developed many strategies - like a hybrid - with a car, and an e-bike in the car but after some unsuccessful attempts - extend them to 3 fold plans including car, bike, and walking the last few km... but never find strength in me to start it

Sounds like you eventually had a viable plan.
