Interesting associations RDB.
As to the effects of climate change, that's one for the ecologists.
Certainly the moors are a lovely colour right now.

Thanks Fred.  The moorland colours are quite vivid at this time of year.  Far more drab in Winter of course.

Ive noticed we are starting to green up here in places but we did get a good amount of rain in the last week or so.

Only a matter of weeks and it will begin to brown off for the Winter. But it's great while it lasts.

Out walking yesterday and you could even feel the ground was springier under foot again,  but the poor marsh frogs are struggling with so little water still in their ponds.

I noticed that too, on my hike up Cracken Edge yesterday. Got a flight with the Mini3Pro - it's first visit to that spot. Posts later.
