That carpark during Covid was empty,   Usually it’s full,  this was taken late Saturday and there’s still a good few using it and it’s not cheap to park.

Owner must be making some serious money then as it appears to hold lots and lots of cars.

The boat is called Scone and used to be a restaurant in London,   it was built in 1919.

Its run by the local council,  IIRC its about £5.50 a day to park,   cheap by some standards.   I pulled up to park near the beach a few weeks ago and it was £7.50 for 3 hours.   Knowing the area fairly well I knew I could drive 200yds away from the beach and it would be free.

That's not too bad of a fee for all day parking.  However, the £7.50 for 3 hours is quite a bit steep.  Seems like they may be targeting tourists with that amount.  Airport parking in the US can get quite expensive.  Sometimes it is cheaper to Uber to and from the airport, especially if you are going to be gone long term.

In London you can easily pay £25 a day for parking,  and the airports near me even charge to drop off out side now,   but you can goto one of the carparks and drop off for free and then ride he free bus to the terminal.

Seems as though airports world wide take advantage of travelers and parking fees.  I rarely fly anymore so haven't been hassled with parking recently.

I guess I shouldn't complain about parking fees especially when I take the boat on a trip and get charged exorbitant fees to go pierside in some locations.  A few places in the Caribbean  are very expensive but there are a few places that are quite cheap, especially when the fee includes electricity and freshwater.

Funny you mention that.,  the couple I follow who restored a boat and are sailing north from Brazil, went to a shopping mall and found they had pier for boat people to use and it was free.

They really did a great job in restoring that steel hulled boat and I watched several of their amazing videos.  They are for sure living large and enjoying life to the fullest.

I recently received the Freewell VND filter set kit that consists of a 2-5 stop & and a 6-9 stop VND.  I tried the 6-9 stop as it was really bright out but found out quickly they don't work for panos.  Once these rain casts get done I'm going to have to give both a try and see how they work out.

It’s just as well they are delayed if the drone won’t do half the features with them fitted I would have been frustrated by that as it defeats the purpose.

Cheers Tony.  We are quite lucky over here as there are a few sites that collect old aerial footage.  I’ve done a few of these now but this one involved a lot of stitching to make up for the lack of height.
