Finally, I was able to upgrade my Robomaster S1 from a kids toy to something an adult can have fun with, namely communication through ROS

After rooting the device, one can simply talk to it as if it would be an EP through DJIs API, so I created a small ROS driver for it supporting control of the base but also receiving IMU, Odometry and even camera data through rostopics.
