The Old Man of Hoy is reason enough to travel to Orkney. After a walk of less than 1.5 hours you reach this gorgeous stack rising 137 m from the sea - what better place to practice diving or just cruise.
Dwarfie Stane is a curious one: the only chambered cairn in the UK hewn out of a rock which sits alone in the countryside - next to a divable mountain.
Orkney has two Martello Towers, fairly modern (1812) platforms for guns, one of which is supposed to be accessible.
Back on Mainland we visit Orphir Round Church - best viewed from the air - and the adjacent Earl's Bu - a drinking hall from Norse times.
Final sight on the North Isles is Grain Earth House, a souterrain probably used for storage around 2,000 years ago.

Another majestic location Depp. So many places in that video to dive at. The grain earth house towards the end was quite interesting. Great choice in background music.

Should‘ve known that you‘d have your priorities right ;-)
As the birds are better navigators than me it was okay if a bit close at times.
I nearly hit a swallow the other day, I'm convinced the OA kicking in was all it took to save the bird.
