Yes its raining now,  so Im in the workshop making the templates for a new belt,   someone saw the pics of the last one I made and have requested a size Ive not made before.   So whilst Im laser cutting those Im doing some pano stitching.

Well, at least you had an indoor project that you could work on.  Bit of multi-tasking going on.

Absolutely,   if the rain gets any heavier I will have to give up with the laser cutter as the smoke needs a chimney which requires the door on the workshop to be open.    Did you see the belt pics?

No, I haven't seen the belt pictures.  Did you put them on IG?  I'll go take a look see.

Miserable day…maybe? But still made for a beautiful shot either way. What I find funny though is that all winter long I just couldn’t wait for summer and now that’s it’s summer I just can’t wait for winter, I’m a messed up person that’s never satisfied.

Cheers DT,  I made a form out of nylon on the CNC and then I just put the leather in my vice with some wood either side and press the boss into the leather for 20 seconds.

You mean you don't tan your own leather.  Just kidding.    I know you have so many talents I was thinking tanning leather might have been one of them.

I occasion dye leather but tanning is quite a process from the little I have seen of it.

Lots of tanners in Texas, Wyoming and Montana.  I've seen a few videos on tanning but it is a bit to detailed for me, much easier to just buy the belt from a store for me.  Growing up on the farm I did skin quite a few animals but never tanned the hides.  Did enjoy the venison from the deers though.
