A commemorative hike from Hayfield(Bowden Bridge) over Kinder Low to Edale - the starting point for the Pennine Way Trail
One of the routes taken during the Mass Trespass of 1932 which led to the Right to Roam over the moors for everyone.
The National Trust ( who have Stewardship of the area) take a dim view of drones, so the Pocket2 was my weapon of choice.
Here is a series of images taken during the hike over hill and dale.

Haha. Thanks Bruce. The weather was ideal. Cloud cover for the main ascent, brightening for the descent into Edale at the end. Sadly, we did see some bits of litter discarded along the way (not much) but the Group code is to collect what we find (within reason) and carry it out of the area. There were a dozen of us on this occasion.
The only bones you might see are those of the occasional dead sheep - not walkers

Yes. Although it's the CAA that governs the airspace.  
It's apparently not an infraction if you take off outside the park zone and then overfly it.
But a lot of this land is out of range for a recreational drone.

Everything about England is so different to New Zealand those images just "ooze" England. Very cool to see. Even the way the signs say "Leave no litter"  I think our signwriters must have got writers cramp as it's just  "NO LITTER"

Economies of scale perhaps. Imagine you have a thousand of those signs to produce

England (seems to have) such outstanding places to hike, with so much history. Thanks for sahring.

Pub is named after my mother in law after the guillotine

Wow, what a magnificent collection of shots Mr. B.    Such beautiful views throughout the entire hike.  

I guess I just don't understand the rationale behind why the National Trust takes a dim view of drones.  However, here in the US you can't fly in any of the National Parks and their rationale is because they fear a drone will crash and start a forest fire.  So maybe that is one of the reasons the National Trust takes a dim view.  

Looks like a good walk,  but how long before they add no drones under the no camping and fires sign.

Thanks RDB.  There's that Minuscule risk I suppose. but it's more about the NIMBY mentality.

We get an email each month in advance.
The dates often clash with the French improvers group.
So I walk when it's fine and help the improvers when it's wet
