Oh no, far from that. I love the color black and the color white, in fact one of my favorite colors is vanta black. Also my truck is white, I want my house to be black and white, and my room is all black and white and also my phone screen saver right now is black and white. I think that it mainly depends on the shot itself. For example I think black and white shots look best when there’s more contrast between the two colors and less grey like in the picture with the palm trees here which is actually my phone screen savor. And while yes it does have grey it has a nice contrast of both B&W and not more black or more white compared to the top down shot of the beach shore where it’s mainly white and a lot of grey. But then again that’s just my opinion and I know everyone’s different but the reason why I actually liked the first was because I do appreciate color every once in awhile when it’s really nice like the one you took.

lol,   I have family members that I wont even bother to show B&W images, they hate them so much its not worth it.

I just found myself debating against selective color edits.
I love B&W shots, but I have something against selective color edits. Maybe because that was used a lot when I got into photography more.

But I try not to use them anymore.

Same here,  although I see they are popular with wedding photos still,.  something I avoid like the plague.
