i'm about to purchase a mini 3 pro ...

if i want to be able to use 3rd party apps with it in the future (i know it's not currently possible), would this be more likely to be possible with the rc n1/ iphone combination than with the rc controller?
or is there a chance they will phase out the rc n1 altogether?
(the main reason i would want this option is to be able use waypoints)

Personally I would buy the DJI RC controller now and pickup a RC N1 controller second hand off eBay,  but wait until the SDK is released as DJI are phasing it out a bit and going forward it will only support Android and they still haven't released Mavic 3 support so it could be a while yer if we see it.
