In Gavins video he's walking around a bit and then testes RTH after updating the homepoint.

Im on the fence to upgrade or not at the moment,  but I suspect we'll need this for the drone firmware thats coming.

Yes, after watching Gavin's video and seeing him walking all around and trying different things I went ahead and updated the RC.  Hopefully, a firmware for the drone itself will come out soon.


Gave the Mini 3 a quick test flight using the RC and all seemed to go well.  I still prefer using the RC Pro with the Mini 3 though.

Yeah, realised that after i made the reply, face plant lol I have done the update and haven't noticed anything different so just behind-the-scenes stuff.

I didn't notice any difference with range since the update and using RC.  I'm still getting better range with the Mini 3 while using the RC Pro and flying in the exact same location.

Oddly Im sure I get better range with the plus battery installed,   not sure why that would be but its been quite repeatable, at least in one location Ive flown both a number of times.

Updated and flew yesterday, no problems at all very stable using RC. Some chinese text in places, not uncommon with DJI programmers, should be removed in a future update.

Updated via RC, appears updating using DJI Assistant is currently definately NOT recommended.

I never update with the DJI Assistant,  not found any need for it yet.

I downloaded and flew 1.7.4 on the Mini 3 Pro with no issues. I then flew the Air 2S using the N1 controller with a TripleTek monitor. At first I was advised of an update which I believe was 1.7.4. After installing this, I got anther update notice which when installed, turned out to be 1.7.5. (see picture)  When I go to the app store and attempt a fresh download, all that is available is 1.7.4. Wonder what is different about 1.7.5?

That's good to know.  I need to try and see if I can duplicate that on mine, but I do like flying with the extended battery.  I do need to rotate the standard battery in to keep the charges across all 4 batteries similar or at least close.

I just updated to 1.7.5. RC Pro, AIr 2S latest firmware on both. Fly STILL has Chinese in several areas. Every time I opened the map while flying, the app crashed. This created a new flight log. As far as I could tell, there were absolutely zero improvements. I uninstalled and reinstalled Fly 1.7.0.

Same here, so far i've not had the need and especially since many have had issues but then i think some also have doing it in-house too so *puts palms up*

Every time I opened the map while flying, the app crashed.

After hearing that, I flew the Air 2S with app 1.7.5 and had no issues. The map worked fine. Since the Mini 3 uses 1.7.4, I suppose it would be inadvidisible to fly it with 1.7.5.

I have mine numbered so that I can control more easily where they are in the rotation.

I've used the numbering system for all my previous DJI drones but failed to do that for the Mini 3.  Will number them today for sure.

I wasnt either,  luckily some people are on the ball with the updates.  

Dear DJI support. Hopefully this update fixed all these 3 issues:
1. RC takes very long time synchronizing flight data, several minutes ans sometimes several attempts
2. RC connection with W10 PC shows empty folders on SD card, usually takes several reconnections to get hold of the stored data
3. When recording the telematics screen the overlay recording time + stop button is in a position that blocks Focus Track functions, you cannot access the buttons while screen recording is active

Especially issue #3 is so annoying, cannot believe it hasn't been fixed long time ago. While screen contents may vary in details on phones and tablets, on the RC everyone should encounter this issue while recording screen and using smart functions like POI.

PLEASE FIX ASAP, if not done with 1.7.4. Flew yesterday with 1.7.0 and had the hassles again. I own 2 DJI RC, one for the Mini 3 and one for the Mavic 3. It's a fantastic remote. With some pains. I need a cure.

Point 3:
you can easily move by drag and drop to an area, where it does not disturb!
that is possible long time already!

If you clear the local flight cache in the controller it will sync new flights much faster.
