Please support this thread with a +1 or your own comments to let DJI know how this feature is requested from the users. There's no excuse: they have already implemented it it the Avata and (expectedly) in the DJI Action 2.

DJI FPV is an amazing drone, for me the best (for long range, speed, manual mode, battery life, high quality video feedback, ...)
I have the Avata model which is also cool for more proxy flights, but its big brother the fpv model remains my favorite.
Gyro data will be wonderfull for stunning stabilized video.

Nothing from the googles is required to save the gyroscope data (on the drone) to be recorded in the video (in the sd inside the drone).

The gyro data is already used to stabilize the video so let it be in the metadata of the file in the same way the Avata does.

I had thought of "head control" using FPV Goggles V2...

Seems to me that for the gyro data to be useable, it would need to be from a gyro in the camera body. The Avata camera is soft mounted in such a way that it probably filters out some vibration. Would expect the angle of the gyro to match the angle of the camera as well. If I'm right about this, then the DJI FPV drone might not have necessary hardware. I'm a bit curious where the gyro in the Avata is located but not enought to go teariing things apart.

DJI FPV already has rocksteady, therefore there's a gyroscope and it's used to stabilize the image. With that in mind, I can't share your opinion that it might not have the necessary hardware.

Didn’t realize that the DJI FPV had Rock Steady too. If it has that then it should just be a software update to save the data.

Anyone knows where Avata stores the gyro data? If drone direct connected via USB gyroflow works well if files (all files) from dcim are copied to PC gyro data is not found by gyroflow. Where is the issue? Gyro flow not knowing Windows file system structure? Or dji hiding the data elsewhere?

the gyro is in the metadata of the file, copying it out of the sd/internal storage of the avata shouldn't make a difference...

I would like to have this feature in the dji fpv drone. I don’t like how videos are stabilized in the drone and I would like to have others others

Well, apparently the developers have arrived to a dead end... the gyro data is in the .DAT files but the sampling is too low to use them. Again, we need DJI to help to get this viable...

Yeah, tried something similar with an old flight controller but I ended doing it easily with an "old" insta360 go 1 and using the video as gyro source in gyroflow.

What is the status on this? Would love to have this in my new FPV drone. Honestly wondering if I should have opted for the cheaper Avata.
