Hi ALL,


I am flying to LA and driving to Vegas for holiday.
Fellow pilots in USA. What aer the rules around flying in LA and Vegas.


I intend to capture the Disney Fire works in LA
And Vegas I intend to capture the Strip at night... maybe a hyperlapse..
Also flying around the hover Dam and Grand Canyon.


Any Tips/ suggestion please do share.


Planning to bring my M3 and Mini 2.

Pretty much every place you mentioned are restricted areas where it is very difficult to fly in those locations legally.

Now I having second thoughts if I should be bringing my drone for the trip.....

YEs I just downloaded B4UFLY.. It seems you are right.. most if not all the places I want to fly in is restricted....

Sad.... so like I have to leave my Drone behind for this trip..

That isn’t completely true. Disney somehow bribed their way into a permanent TFR over their parks. However, outside of that, there are no specific amusement park rules.  Regular rules would still apply like flight over people, VLOS, etc that would make it difficult to fly over/near amusement parks, but there aren’t any rules specific to them in the US.

Will be interesting to see if that TFR remains in place with them loosing status.... at least in Florida.
