Is there pre-record function on the Action 3? In action cams sometimes you can't really tell when the action gonna start (motovlogging and so on) GoPro has a similar funciton called HindSight which records an action 15 or 30 seconds prior the shutter press, where's DJI in this case? and I don't mean loop recording, I don't need footage to be saved and overwirte exisiting footage this is a different type of functionality as explained.

You can basically use the Loop function for this. It records a custom amount of time (for example the last 5 or 30 minutes). When you press record it saves the last X minutes.

DJI knows it cam be done , not what A3 wants to hear

I just bought this camera as an upgrade to my Hero 9 specifically because I read about the fact the 4 has pre-record like GP hindsight but.......the pre-record function is there but the main point of pre-record has been lost when DJI have developed this. It needs to be set up as a pre-set so when the record button is pressed the camera can automatically start pre-record. Have to search through the screen to switch it on every time loses the point of the feature. Please please please allow to be added to the preset functions on the camera!!!

I just purchased the Osmo Action 3 and may be forced to return it as it has no pre-record function. Can DJI save a long time customer that hassle and release a firmware update that adds that function? It appears the Osmo Action 4 has the capability if the only answer is to get a 4 I may have to reconsider what brand my future drone, gimbal, and pocket cameras come from as I would consider this a set back from a company I was proud to say was leading the competition.

Still no update to add pre-record to the action 3 although other models are getting updates to help improve the function and capabilities? Hope that DJI isn't the type of company to forget about servicing previous launched products after a new model is produced I get that the 5 is out now but I'm not to excited about going out to get it when the 3 feels short changed compared to the gopro released around the same time. I tried to stay loyal!
