Racing with DJI motion controler is like cheating. No skills or practise required just put the circle on the gates and the drone does the rest.

Almost like your Avata has "auto-pilot".  

I just got my avata today and took her out for a spin.  I never flew FPV before but was able to complete a circuit around the neighborhood :-)

Not true.. you can put camera center but still hit the gate.

Where motion controller circle shows predicted flight path and you do not need to do anything.. just put the circle on the gates.

Control the circle with your wrist, control the "+" with your thumbs assuming 0 degrees, both will show the predicted flight path of the bird. But yes, motion controller would be easier for the novice.
