Is there a DJI Phantom forum in the Dutch language?
Are there Phantom pilots in Flanders or the Netherlands who visit this forum?

Count me in as well (flanders, Aarschot region)

In the summer, I stay at Camping "The Roygaerden" in Begijnendijk.
It is a wooded area and not easy to fly there.
However, the Belgian legislation does not add much.
Where around Aarschot there is a safe area for our hobby?

There is NO good Dutch forum(about Quadkopters)............technical spoken............they just 'lullen'
the best Forums are in Germany but last time they are asking 10/20 times the same questions because they are to lazy to 'google' in the forum to find an answer.
By the way I am located near Antwerpen , often coming to Langdorp (son).
I started with PH2 and now for about 4 months I am flying Ph3P. Very close to me (voorkempen) we have some large acres where You can fly easely 1 km
For the moment I fly V1.2.0 DJI and Pilot App V 1.1.9 and I am waiting for flying WP's (waypoints) as I did with my PH2
You can see my  FLY locations on the 'Flytrex' map.(Piloot Yves)

Why? The thread was targeting users from Holland or Belium. I see you are from there, but don't know the language? Stick with the English threads. Some may have very limited english reading skills, but should still be able to partake.

Roygaerden is very close to were I live.
For the moment, in Belgium you can only legally fly in approved clubs.
Starting from September 1st 2015, as a hobby flyer you can fly above private property with a maximum height of 30m. Not great but better than nothing
Besides that, in the few remote areas you have in Belgium I would take the 'risk' to fly but always use common sense: not too high, away from buildings/obstacles and other people etc.
I notice that everywhere 'cowboys' are ruining our hobby. So to everybody: think before you fly!
Claims about privacy are a bit stupid I think. Then you have to forbid as well dashcams, ULM's, hot air balloons, ... But that's my opinion... Again, think before you fly and don't start filming your neighbours.
Happy flying!

Sorry if there is no good dutch forum but while I have absolutely no problems with dutch language (I know it enough to understand even if I'm not fluent with it) or any other language I think it's a matter of respect of other users to use the base language of a forum. Moreover as english is somewhat "universal"...

Regarding the upcoming belgian law, some people will be surprised...
Here is the powepoint from the minister (sorry but I didn't find the dutch version) : https://dl.dropboxusercontent.co ... sentation%20FR.pptx

Above 1 Kg, the only way to fly will be model clubs... out of interest for our flying camera !

Don't want to turn this thread into politics but Europe is only a "concept"... which for example makes you a criminal if you drive at 150 km/h on highways in most eu countries but not on the "Autobahn" !!!
Anyway, even with laws allowing drones in the sky (like in The Netherlands), we will see more and more angry people like in this video : http://www.dronewatch.nl/2015/08 ... drone-uit-de-lucht/
The same kind of people who claim about their privacy while at the same time they use smartphones, credit cards and tell on facebook when they are going to the toilets !!!

Sometimes, it takes me hours to analyze Google Maps to find a spot where I can fly far from any houses, touristic ways, people and supposed police presence, measuring the distances from towns and villages, checking the terrain to be sure I can fly LOS without obstacle... Even in south belgium, without too much urbanisation it's not that easy to find !

Happy flying and... keep hidden

Hello , here's another Dutch drone user , I recently received my first fine for taking off from my backyard 300 euros, but finds it an often trivial high amount especially when it opposes the fool who went off at Schiphol , while enshrined the lost control of his drone which he was facing allegations beside the landing runway ?
this man fined "only" 500 euros, I let it occur, I find this totally not disproportionate , we will see what the court decides ?

He himself didn't get fined. Some other idiot who lost 'control' of his drone somewhere above Schiphol airport.

If you follow the rules very stricktly its indeed quite a challange to find a proper flying spot. But I must admit ive broken one of the rules sometimes just to be able to fly, but always use common sense.

Rules like "dont fly above crowds" or "dont fly near an airport" are clear: DONT DO IT.
But ive flown above a grass field and a school yard within a city. And within a flight restricted area (which is 16,5 kilometers away from the closest airport).
Planes are not the main danger there (or above any big city in my opinion). It's the trauma helicopters and gas-pipeline-check helicopters that you need to stay the hell away from (I dont mean try to avoid them as in move out of the way, i mean do not fly there where they can be)

The rules for flying drones are general rules. They apply to all drones, not only to those made by DJI. If you keep that in mind a connection loss on some drones can mean a instand fly away or an uncontrolable drone. DJI drones are somewhat protected against this with its Return To Home function

Strictly speaking, it was not allowed , just find the fine too high especially if you look at the man at Schiphol lost control of his drone which he was facing allegations off the track , he got 500 , - euro

This guy lives in my neighborhood, and just came home, he heard something in the air, and when he saw my drone just in my own backyard  he stood right in front of my gate, I found it a little pathetic in your own time that you feel the need to give your fellow man a lesson it was pure bad luck, ok it was not allowed, but he also could have given my a warning, I put no one in danger and had  full control over my  drone different from that morron at Schiphol so I leave it appearance in court just for the hight of the fine, not to deny..
