Anyone know when the Phantom 4 will be announced and what it will be called?  Phantom 4...............?

Some time in the future and the Phantom 4

Looks like the Phantom 4 came out the other day, only they're calling it the Phantom 3 Standard!

On rcgroups.com  an Ex-dji sales employee mentioned that a newer model has already been in design/production for a while now. He did state that dji began on a new project before the release of the P3 and matrice. The ex-dji employee did not mention when it will come out and what model series it will be... Perhaps it could be the Inspire 2? Maybe the Phantom 4? Who knows... I'm excited.
I just hope that guy is not lying that he is a Ex-employee from dji.

well, that isnt a hard guess in the end : ) Of course they already working on a Phantom4, thats pretty normal i would say. The phantom3 will get some minor upgrades like motors, maybe a remote with HDMI out build in already or something like that. Just small things to attract customers, maybe for the xmas sale. After that they will go for the Phantom4 which is not hard to predict

Thanks Jack57.  I'm ready for the DJI4 or an enhanced DJI3 and will probably be one of the first to pre-order.

Hope they don't come out with a 4 just yet. Just bought my 3. Dji don't be like apple and make a new drone every 7 month

Actually, I heard the DJI CEO's plan is to model his company like Apple.  So I would expect a new Phantom and new products each and every year.  Xmas is 138 days from today.

In the advertising for the new Phantom Standard ;  DJI was touting a Piolt app with Way Points , point of intrest and follow-me modes. Any word if these new functions in the  Piolt App are in the works.  why would they make reference to these additional flight options if not working on

The Phantom3 was released in march? So no way there will be a phantom4 in december but i guess next summer, they will update the Phantom3 a bit until then. Thats the way they did it since 3 years

Phantom 4, inspire 2,  iphone 7 what else? of course we know all the dates of announcements

No phantom 4!  Just concentrate on making the 3 better

The Phantom 4 will have 4x zoom lens Calling it"Phantom ISPY 4 "

Inspire 2 will probably come out before the Phantom 4 and I don't see that coming until at least November.
