A reference to a UK  TV drama series, evoked by this extraordinary rock formation, shaped by the erosion of wind, rain and time.
I see the iconic Flat Cap over protruding nose and chin, with small mouth.
A formation on the hills of the High Peak, in Derbyshire.

Is this a documented feature or just your realisation?  If it's yours well done that is a freaky!!  Been meaning to watch the series, is it worth a watch?

Cheers

It must have taken thousands of years to erode to this point.

When you have some time on a rainy weekend, you may find it entertaining.
At that point on the plateau there is a large area of eroded geology, and a number of them resemble
different objects. This one caught my eye as I wandered around, just off the beaten path. It's about 3 metres high.

Impressive.... so your own imagination then....nice!

That rainy day might be upon us tomorrow which is a holiday in respect for the Queen's passing so might just take a look.

It;s quite gritty drama  but was a raging sucess over here.

It was. The only downside was, it was too windy at the summit to fly the drone. I got a bit of footage on the lower slopes, but the rest of the time it was the Pocket2 that did the work.

You're very welcome Mr. B.

Well, we are off to a new week.  Just hoping Hurricane Ian makes a quick right or left turn but it looks for sure like it wants to make landfall somewhere in Florida.  Now is when living on a boat becomes challenging.

Just listened to the latest forecast that was based on a hurricane hunter plane fly through at 0500 and the news is not better.  Going to give the family members a call and then get underway around noon today.  Will probably shadow the Navy and Coast Guard vessels as to wherever they sortie to.

Thanks Mr. B.  This morning I'm safely away from the Florida coastline and out of Hurricane Ian's way.  Haven't been this far out in the ocean for a while so I'm just getting my "sea legs" back.  I did have a huge oil freighter pass by this morning as he was heading North.  So I do see other boats once in a while.

Bit of an adventure for sure.  While leaving the Florida coastal waters I did have several porpoises follow me for quite a ways.

At least this trip has given me an opportunity to test out all the new navigation system and components that I had installed during the last yard period.  Everything is working great and the engines are purring.

I'll be as safe as I possibly can so that you don't have to read about me in the news.

No icebergs whatsoever.  Was a long night last night.  I did see the lights of a couple of other boats/ships in the distance but other than that I'm out here all alone.  Ahh, solitude.

Unfortunately, the skies were quite cloudy.  I'm heading back this AM but I'm a day and a half out.  My son is going to go check out my pier and dock and let me know if it survived.  If not I'll have to contact one of the local Marinas and see if they have a space for me.  I'm a bit worried about all the bad reports concerning the storm surge and the damages it has caused.  Anyway, at  least me and my home (my boat) survived so that is something to be thankful about, considering all the 1000s of homes that were destroyed.
