The old jetty.....

In 1891, the Salvation Army established a Home Farm Colony in Hadleigh where the Hadleigh Downs Country Park lies today. The Salvation Army Jetty was used in the early 1900s to load off and on goods, mainly bricks, made at the Salvation Army brickworks located at the bottom of Chapel Lane. The bricks were then taken by train over to the jetty to be shipped by barge, at the lower seawall which also exists today still bearing an impressive anchor attached to the end.





Taken with the Mini 3 Pro and an AEB3 and then processed with DxO PureRaw.

Looks quite stark, David. I recall earlier shots you did here, and your mention of the anchor on the end post.

Nice photo and what a lot of work must have gone into the initial construction.

Yeah, I kind of figured the weather change would slow down your progress toward 50M feet flown.

Yes.  It’s quite depressing.  Just this morning walking home from my walk and flight the smell of wood smoke from peoples fires was everywhere.  Much more than normal.   From what I’ve read and our friendly log guy tells me a lot of people are getting setup to burn wood this year due to the gas prices.

People have to adapt and do whatever is needed in these times.  Shame the Ukrainian invasion continues.  Unfortunately, I think Putin has backed himself into a corner and I hate to think what he might do next.  This really puts a damper on fuel oil availability for EU and UK.

It gets worse today,   he's going to declare the land he's stolen as Russia so any attack and he'll threaten nukes.

Absolutely 100% they were,  but he'll now escalate up a notch once its declared part of the motherland.

Not hard to see why he held the referendums.  Even though the international community know there were a sham and probably don't recognize them he will take the position they are a part of Russia now and protect them at all costs.  Just gives him an excuse to use a tactical nuke on the Ukranians.
