Not bad only had to max out the Mini 3 in N mode to keep up with this one through the 8kt speed limit.

Very cool vertical shot DA.    Does appears he is going a bit over the 8 kt speed limit.  Do you see a lot of the RIBs in the Thames?

Yes, there are a fair few about,  most of the safety boats from the yacht clubs appear to be similar to this as well.

Yes,  he was wizzing along,  and thats a three shot AEB image so the camera did a great job.

I like them as they are well made and easy to maintain.  The Coast Guard here uses them a lot along the coastline.

Same here coast guard and the RLNI use them a lot. Although the local RNLI also use hover craft.

In South Florida, hovercrafts are quite popular.  Especially in the Everglades.

I've never priced one but I know they use them a lot in the Everglades and also in the swamps of Louisiana.

Can't blame them as most airboats use some type of aircraft engine for power and they are extremely loud.  I did one tour in the Everglades and the airboat company provider me with a pair of nice ear muffs to minimize the noise.  Not bad just idling but when they get going it can get extremely loud.
