Suffering for your art

We were out there getting ready to go scuba diving.  Woke up to unexpected clouds, so I put the drone up to get a better view of the storm.  It didnt last long and we were able to go diving.

My property and dock are in the path of Ian but as for me I had to get my mini-yacht underway a couple of days earlier so I'm about 215 NM east of Florida out in the Atlantic Ocean.  There is another tropical depression due southeast of me brewing so I have to keep an eye out for it is doing.

Thanks Innerspace.  My son is going to head over to check out my pier and dock this morning.  I will start heading back this  morning but I'm a day and a half out into the ocean so I have plenty of time for him to check.  If dock is gone then I'll have to contact one of the local marinas and see if they have space.  Has been an interesting few days for sure.

I know it has. I live in Louisiana so we are no stranger to Hurricanes. We seem to have gotten lucky this year.  We usually get at least one a year.

Really early on in my Navy career I was a junior JAG officer stationed at NAS Belle Chase.  I was there in summer of 1986 when Hurricane Bonnie blew through.
