More than a year has gone by and I have tried reaching out to DJI via Twitter, email, support, everything, and they are yet to answer.
How the F*** do I fix this gimbal? It was a software update more than a year ago that it stopped working. I can't roll it back, I can't see where to check if there's a new update and I'm so utterly dissapointed. I've scoured forums, done everything everyone has suggested and I even bought a new phone thinking perhaps my iPhone 8+ was too old or something.
I'm absolutely gutted. I pulled less than 20 hours worth of footage out of this thing, never dropped it, always powered it off and never had it strong winds.
I wish I'd shared my frustration with my wife because she bought be a Mini 2 drone for our holiday last month and whilst I admit I've have had an absolute blast making videos with that instead, I had decided that I was not going to invest in DJI any further. I thought I'd dig out this gimbal one more time and make this post in an effort to limit my contribution to landfill.
If anyone has the ear of the support team directly, PLEASE send them to this thread so I can find a resolution.
