Mini3 Pro does 3040km own 133 days.

I think I might be loving this little guy too much.

Do drones wear out or is it just the batteries?

I wonder if you'd get a replacement under warranty if that happens in the 12 months.
Or whether it would be considered excessive use?
Are the words "unlimitted mileage" in the contract?

The only limit Ive seen is on the battery cycle count for battery replacement.

I think 200 cycles is a limit ? I wonder what happens then. Probably just an info that the battery needs to be replaced, but it's certainly possible to get 500 cycles, even if the flight time is then only 10 minutes or so.

I think the 200 is just the warranty limit,  I dont believe anything happens when you get there.

Well, for wearing out and maintenance, the manual states that the propeller screws should be tightened after every 30 hours of flight.

Another thing which definitely wears out are the bearings in the motors, but I haven't seen any specifications or speculation for the Mini 3. I've read stories, that for Mavic 2 and that generation, the bearings can last for few thousand flight hours, and might need replacement afterwards.

There are also few other things which might affect the lifetime.
For example, the rubber shock absorbers for the gimbal will definitely wear out with time, and the foam which holds the avoidance cameras might also wear out after some time (and I suspect its wear might trigger vision system recalibrations).
Then, another part which isn't very clear is the airflow through the drone, and the dust accumulation inside. How often would it require cleaning/blowing out?
On the topic of the dust, the camera also isn't completely sealed, and I can already see a speck of dust between the lenses in mine.

Another wear component would be the battery connector inside of the drone. I assume it's gold-plated, and I do hope that the thickness of the plating is good enough to last the lifetime of the drone. The plating  is under influence of the fretting corrosion, and will eventually wear out, which will increase the resistance of the contacts and make the fretting even worse, and the spare part (if it's the core board) doesn't seem to be cheap, so I do hope that the plating is good enough to last for a while.

I have had to clean the air vent twice so far it does pick up the dust quite nicely.

Yeah, I'm sure the Mini 2 feels left out as I haven't seen you post anything from it.  I think I remember a shot or two from the M2P.  At least you are giving the Mini 3 a good stress testing of the motors and electronic components.  You probably have quite a few cycles on the batteries by now.

I think if I dont fly them soon I will come home to an intervention.  Rain for the next few days so I'll just keep the mini3 on stand by.  I dont like charging the M2P unless its a good bet to get it up.

Yeah, I don't blame you, especially considering how hard it is to find M2 batteries.  So no use wasting a charge cycle if you can't fly.

Actually DJI just started selling the batteries again,   I was shocked by that news.

That's interesting.  I remember a while back seeing several posts about where to get the batteries but I guess DJI found a source and decided to carry them once again.

They didn’t stop selling the Enterprise batteries which were identical apart from the firmware

Okay, I'd forgot about the Enterprise version.  Without being able to see actual sales figures I would think that the Mavic 2 had to be one of DJI's best selling foldable drones.

What do you use the Mini3Pro for when you're traveling at an average speed of just over 31 km/h...?
Do you also film or do you just fly?
97 hours in total, that doesn't sound like much...

I also fly many (very many) hours in total with my drones. But the average speed is much, much lower, since you often stay in the air when filming...

I’ve been doing a lot of stock photography shots with the mini3 now that the cameras improved and the gimbal can maintain -90 unlike the mini2 I can get good enough quality shots in places I can’t legally take M2P although that’s also been flown a bit especially for offshore stuff.   I dont film that much video.
