I am testing my new Avata. During the flights I encountered a strange behaviour, never seen in FJI FPV (I have also).
Avata during flight suddenly tilts left or right. This is unacceptable and very dangerous when flying near objects.
Here is a video showing the problem (first tilt at 05-06 secs). EIS was off for later stabilization but the same problem occurs also with EIS ON. Original clip was 4K 50fps, no wind.


Before returnig the drone I will test it again but the problem appears in every flight. Any suggestions ??

Update Firmware

First, make sure you have updated your firmware to the September 14th version. Then, if you don't mind, can you let us know if you are using the MC or the Remote 2. Also, it would be helpful if you posted your goggles video as well.

May we please know if you have received any error message or error codes on the DJI Fly application when this happened? In addition kindly please check if the firmware of your DJI Avata is on its most recent one. Thank you.

Firmware is the last version. No messages or error codes during the flight.
Flight was in Normal Mode and I was using the remote controller of the DJI FPV

Yikes, that tilting is definitely not normal.  Time to ground that Avata and return it.  

Try to recalibrate IMU.
Usually it's this problem with strange Tilt movements.
I did it also to mine and works.

This is a video from a DJI FPV, but in Avata is similar, just follow the instructions on goggles.

Same location today and same problem, also in Sport Mode



I will try with IMU recalibration...

Can it be caused by strong and changing winds?

Looks pretty normal tilting to me, I get same if EIS is off
