Can an external mic be used if I only have the power module combo?

That or the screen module.  External mics connect direct to the USB-C socket (if they are USB mics) or via an adapter to that socket otherwise - see many discussions of that on this forum and on YouTube.

Thanks I wasn’t sure if you needed more than just the power module as I seem to be missing mic settings and sound playback etc
