Hello,

I was leaving a shoot and heading home. Remembered the B-Roll I might get of the Town sign in Port Perry Ontario.

I parked near the intersection where I could see the sign. A cross-walk guard was there and escorted me across the street.

Facing away from the street 4 meters away from the Welcome to Port Perry sign with grass blowing around it, I turned on the remote and then turned on the drone.

I launched the drone to 1 meter off the ground. Was going to do a slow pan across the sign when suddenly the drone started to ascend and drift to my right toward the road and then ascending more. I tried to control the drone but to no effect as it ascended into power lines across the street and suddenly fell to the grass on the other side.

I went over and picked up the Mini 3 Pro and realized one of the arms was broken.

As my assistant said, "you are always so careful. I always keep line of sight. I never fly to high as I typically use the Mini 3 Pro around 20 to 3o meters in the air and sometimes around 3 meters. Those are typically the shots I take.

So I'm awaiting for the Support team to come back online. I have the DJI Refresh, but I understand, that if there's no operator error, it's covered under warranty.

I looked at the flight record. It said it was a 1 minute flight. The playback though was 16 seconds. It also indicated that it was in Attitude Mode which till I looked it up was not something I was aware of in the DJI Mini 3 Pro.
