I just wanted to know whether I can use a software to add music to my videos (4k video) that I recorded with my Phantom 3 Pro. I do not want to change the resolution. Just to add music. Is there any software that can do that?

Any editing application such as Movie Maker, Adobe Premier or Final Cut Pro can add music to your video track.

Alternatively video hosting sites such as youtube can add music to your videos once uploaded. Simpkly upload your video, and once complete look for the music note symbol.

BUT you can't just "add music" you will still have to re-render the movie to include the music, so you will need to pay attention to things like export resolution, codec and bit rate.

If you want a pretty simple video editor to make adjustments in, and you have  a Mac, try iMovie. Easy peasy.

I did try a couple of software like Microsofts Movie Maker which seems to be easy enough but the only thing is that it does not support 4k resolutions. The maximum output is high definition no 4k.

Render the 4K original into 1080p and keep the original. When you get a more powerful PC and 4K becomes the de facto standard, you'll be ready to render the 4K version.

I think I will follow the above advice. I have used Microsoft Movie Maker and the result between 4k and the high definition is almost identical. Also the software is very easy to use . Just import the video, the music and that's all. But as aburkefl said, the 4k videos will be saved for future use.

Sadly the adding of music with YouTube when you upload does not work with IE.
I use IE 11 and YT tells me my browser is too old to use it. Then they try to force crome on me. uh no.

Works on my IE11, are you sure its not Flash complaining as I think the youtube video editor uses Flash?

In Video Management I click on Add Music beside one of my videos and I get "This feature is not supported in your browser. Please upgrade it."

you can easily add / replace audio streams in video files without re-encoding , just have to use google

I bought the song I would want to create a video edit....how would I get it onto the video?

4K is still way above most gear today ... and as a result - video processing on PC generally reduces to a lesser resolution.

Most video editing prog's will add / alter / time line music to a vid.

For anyone suffering out of synch audio with video ..... download AVIDEMUX ...... its a program designed to split video and audio and allow you to shift one or other to align sound to action.

Its quite common for some high res videos to lose synch when recorded to not so fast cards ...
