I have a mavic mini where the motors stopped mid flight and crashed, a brief overpower warning was shown after reviewing the logs but it fell to the ground right after the warning was given with no time to react.  It is out of warranty and DJI is wanting $179 for the repair... but what if this happens again to the replacement?  I did notthing wrong and the drone crashed to the ground

DJI doesn't give free data analysis if your drone is out of warranty.  However, there are members here who do and they give it fast.

If you want to learn what your flight data tells of your incident ...

Go to: https://www.phantomhelp.com/LogViewer/Upload/
... where you'll find instructions to upload the data to that site and it will give a report

For help interpreting the data you can make a thread in the Products/Mavic section and post a link for the report.  Or just post the .txt file.

JBB analyzed the data and could not find anything unusual.  Its a shame that I have to pay for repairs due to software error and not pilot error...

Glad JBB* got a chance to look at your flight data.  He is really good at analyzing them.  

Sorry to hear that he was not able to find anything unusual.  Might be time to upgrade from the original Mini to the Mini 2 or Mini 3.
