I Caught a couple of Young Eagles on film with my mini2  

its very hard to capture birds in the air when they are flying , the eagles did a couple of circles around the drone & then bugged out I think the flashing strobe lights kept them away

Very nicely captured.    I try to avoid birds of prey getting around my drone and when they do get inquisitive I ascend quickly and they soon lose interest.  Once I descended and they chased my Mini 2 all the way to the ground.  Lesson learned....go up and not down.

Such encounters are always interesting to see, even though they are happenstance. A lucky break

Indeed , I try to avoid birds when i can too . But these 2 eagle kind of snuck up on me so I was just hovering in place at 400 feet waiting to see  what they were going to do.  
I have firehouse brand strobe lights top and bottom  which I think the eagle were curious but luckily not brave enough to come close or make any aggressive moves towards my drone if they had I may have panic and try to fly down so thanks for the good advice for going straight up

You may be onto something about the strobe light attracting them.  Ascending quickly has always proven to work successfully for me so I thought I'd pass it along.

Indeed. I am glad as well  But thankfully their interest in my drone was short and they moved on  thankfully
