Hi all. Just unboxed my DJI Osmo Action 3 and I'm having issues connecting my phone and DJI Mimo app to the OA3. I have updated to the most recent firmware and even uninstalled and reinstalled the APK file for my phone.
I am on a Google Pixel 4a. My OA3 Wifi settings only allow a Wifi frequency of 2.4GHz. I can't seem to locate it on my Wifi or Bluetooth connection either.
I appreciate any help.
P.S. My OA3 says I have three chances left to skip the wireless connection? Talk about super frustrating
Hi there. Thank you for reaching out and we're sorry for the trouble that this has caused. Can you please try to follow the troubleshooting steps below and check whether the issue persists on your unit?
1. Enter the camera Control Menu, tap “Wireless Connection” > “Wireless Info” to view the camera Wi-Fi name and password.
2. Enter the phone system settings > WLAN settings to find the “DJI Action 2” or “Osmo Action 3”, and enter the Wi-Fi password shown on the camera.
3. Go back to DJI Mimo, and tap the device name and use it.
4. Please update the firmware of their Osmo Action 3 to the latest version, and connect it to DJI Mimo for use.
You may also refer to the tutorial steps below on how to properly use the unit for the first time. Hope this helps. Thank you for your valued support.
Update: I used my girlfriend's iPhone and it immediately found the camera on the Mimo app from her phone. Kinda ridiculous if you don't have access to another phone
Just got my action 3 today, and running into the same issues. Should have gotten the Hero 11 I guess, because everyone in my house has newer pixels with Android 13.....so frustrating
With today's firmware upgrade the Mimo App can finally see the Osmo when running Android 13 but when you click on "connect", it tries to and after a few seconds it shows the connect text again.
Using an old Samsung phone there are none of these problems.

It’s such a pity that we are all tied to this silly app. Mine works/plays up on a random basis. Updating to the new firmware today took 5 or 6 attempts to connect, giving up and then using an IPad to do it.
The app is awful with my Android phone as well. For some reason, the Action 3 is worse than the 2.
It would be far easier to just download the firmware and install manually. I dread having to use the daft app.
Updated to DJI Mimo App version 1.8.4 and it seems to work. Not sure if it's doing a work around but it shows the camera in the background in the app and then a prompt comes up asking if I want to connect to the camera. After clicking yes and a spinning wheel for a few seconds it opens the camera view up and I'm connected.

Hi, the OA3 isn't found on any of my WiFi network settings. I even tried manually connecting and it can't seem to locate the device.
Hello, I guess you solved your issue. Actually i couldn't connect it too until i turned off my VPN once connected VPN can be turned back ON. I think that might help other people reading this feed. Cheers :-)
