Brushing the pitch.......

This is a follow up shot I promised @DowntownRDB after some discussion about how they maintain astro turf.

All-weather surface for sure.  It's had a few patches repaired by the looks of it, as well.

Just been for multiple jabs - covid cocktail and flu. Feeling like a pin cushion. Rainy day, so no flying time wasted

Good stuff,  hope you feel ok tommorow,  a few people we know had their boosters recently and they felt rubbish the following day.

PS Have you had a guess yet on the new teasers?

I got as far as East Coast UK and possibly Flamborough Head for No6.
Have there been more?  I haven't lookede yet.
No5 has me stumped.

Thanks.   I often challenge myself to find places you see on tv.  Like clarksons house. But doing 6 in a row has surprised me.

Ahh, so I'm not alone being a human pin cushion.  I just got the bivalent Moderna booster and the Flu shot about 2 hours ago.  Only catch was they said I had to get only one per arm.  Not sure if that is a US restriction or what.

We do one per arm here too,  but curiously on MSNBC they were saying you would have a choice and you could have them both on one arm.

Mine is reversed - Flu left and Covid right.  The immunization person didn't ask just said pull up your sleeves.    Reminded me of being back in the Navy and getting many shots in both arms.

Yeah, I wasn't even asked which arm I wanted which shot in.  Just pull up your sleeves.  Shots done and then had to stay in the area for 15 mins to be sure no adverse reactions as that was there policy.

We have the same 15 minute wait as well.  Although often if you are being driven they let you go sooner.

So it seems it is best to bring along a driver then.  Don't think they offer that option here but they may as I didn't ask and did drive myself there so wouldn't have applied anyway.

I think in the early days there was a couple of people that reacted to it and so they brought the waiting period in to mitigate that,  they now have a lot more data on incidents.

Yikes, same needle and no doubt about not wanting to be the last guy in line.

I remember during OCS having to line up and get shots in both arms but at the time they used a Jet Automatic Hypodermic Injection Apparatus.  Here's a picture to give you an idea of what I'm referring to.  Don't know the person in the photo though.
