Just talked with my brother in law. Next week he has a meeting with the builder for some kind of planning.

Sounds like he'll be able to iron out any issues, etc at that time.  I guess the winters in the NL are not that harsh and that you can just build straight through.

A lot will depend on the rain.
It's hard to work with wood (or cement) in rain.

I had a good laugh when a few years back I saw a company pouring in a sidewalk and it was pouring down rain.  The concrete got so wet that it never set properly.  They had to come in and remove it and start again.  What got me was that it had been raining hard all morning and they went ahead and poured it in the rain.  That project was doomed from the start.

It was a county government project for a sidewalk in front of a new county services building.  I was doing a little checking and it seems this company is no longer in business or changed their name because of previous bad work.

They sure do.  Probably because the county projects only accept low ball bids and the company that wins the bid has little profit margin to share with their workers.  Forget about any bonuses on one of those jobs.

That too and because being 'responsible' is considered a bad thing.
So we better do as we were told instead of take responsibility and step up.

I couldn't have said it better.    Seems that over the recent few years taking responsibility and using manners have gone away.  Even good customer service has fallen off.

Unfortunately, many of the younger generation have already lost the path.  Hopefully, as they mature they will find the right path again.

I was talking with my grandson this past weekend about his classes and somehow we got on about manners.  He told me that one of his teachers said to not use Yes Ma'am or No Ma'am when referring to her as she was not old.  She said she preferred the students just use yeah or no.  No wonder kids are losing manners and the ability to use appropriate responses.

I heard once that raising kids is only done in the first 4 years.
After that you can only try to influence their behavior.

I'm just glad my kids are grown and I didn't have to worry about social media with them growing up.  I am amazed at the effect social media is having on the kids growing up to day.  There are some goods with social media but many bads also.
