Today we visited the Bures Dragon. You will need to zoom in a bit to really see it and the last picture is a sign explaining the folklaw.
This is at the beautiful St Stephen's Chapel in Bures on the Essex Suffolk borders. St Stephen's is a private chapel with some real surprises inside.
I lost contact with the controller here, for the first time, luckily with the aircraft close to me allowing me to snatch it out of the sky. The Sudbury TV transmitters are in line of sight and very close, so i expect they were to blame. If i can get my 360 sorted, ill add this later. The last three images were taken on my mobile, included to add contect to the area.
The pics are not in the order i would like but im certain you can work it out

Interesting shots. Like the chapel (pics of the inside?) Zooming in showed the dragon as well. Different from the more typical white horses...

Great shots. And a nice bit of folklore on the plaque to scare the tourists

I have some phone snaps of inside. It’s very ancient. Historic alabaster effigies laying on coffin plinths. I’ll get some up soon… we are talking ancient here…

I struggle getting Sky pixel to process my 360 panoramas, but this one loaded fine and is a great view of the British countryside on the Essex Suffolk borders.

Yes, I upload a 360 into SkyPixel and add the required data...

Thank you, it is beautiful there, very peaceful. Being as the chapel is private I wasn't sure I should be flying there at all...

You can do it on an iPad or go to SkyPixel website, log in and do it there

Can anyone point me in the right direction. I have done another post series… This time it only allowed me to save as a draft, and now I can find no way to publish… Any thoughts welcome? Chris

The 'save' button (dark blue) is sometimes not visible. But you can still click it.
It is on the left of the draft button.
That is a bug of the forum.

Yes I know, but you can also create these spheres from the fly app. And save them to skypixel there.
Is that what you used?
Or did you make the sphere in some other program?

You're very welcome Chris.    As long as it was not in a NFZ it shouldn't be an issue.  However, I know drone regulations vary from country to country.   Here in the US we also have to be aware of any other local restrictions imposed by a state or country government.  Can get to be a bit tricky at times.  I have to be very careful because as a retired lawyer I can't plead ignorance of the law or the judge would just throw the maximum fine my way that he could impose.

These last two pics were taken with my drone. A little low flying practice to regain confidence after losing contact with the controller

If you’d carried on along the footpath rather than turning right to go towards the chapel there’s a discreet spot to fly from.

Could have just been the water,  I flew two drones there and had no issues at all. And I flew in from two different locations.
