Yeah, it was just like that. Calm.
Nope. We were just visitors for one day, so we only knew one couple (my brother in law + sister + kids)

No, this is in Friesland. (in the north of NL)
It's just a farmcamping that our relatives stayed last year and we visited for one day.
Lovely place though.

What an awesome location for camping.    Definitely looks like a location to visit again some time.

Looks like such a clean and well organized place for camping.  I've seen some here in the US that I would never stay in.

Lots of space is key.  Hard to believe how  much land has been bought up here in the US by Entrepreneurs from other countries.  

Flying over and behind boats is one of my favorite shots!

Not sure what the foreign investors motives are.  I recently heard of a large Chinese conglomerate buying up a few 100 acres right next to a sensitive US military base.  They probably have intentions of eavesdropping on communications and other nefarious activities.

Just a bit too obvious.  The government is mad that the farmer sold the land but it didn't violate any laws so not much they could do about it.  However, I'm sure they will make it hard to get permits to  build there and make it even harder to get water or power to the land.

True, and other times not so much at all.  Some of the things I used to hear in corporate meetings were just out of this world.  They must have thought I was taking good notes but actually I was doodling on my pad to keep from bursting out laughing at some of their proposals.

Yeah, I just read about some guy who predicted (based on a lot of intel) that Putin was going to start acting up.
And he threw in some examples of idiotic ratio (like when Putin watched some game against the US that was lost and 3 days later he invaded Ukraine for the first time).
I can only imagine how much stupideness does not make it to the real world.
