This is the first video of a hike I documented with OA3. It went from morning to dark, so it may serve as a good overall test.
Notice my copy of OA3 is rather good with respect to sharpeness and focus (At least compared to Action 2; you may see my other posts in this forum). This thread is not to discuss these topics, but just to evaluate the overall capabilties of a working OA3.
On the negative side, I noticed the poor dynamic range particularly in the forest under trees, which was in addition influencing negatively EIS.
Details:
Firmware of OA3: 01.01.04.40. Again my camera is good and the new firmware did not improve much (just added slight sharpening). So this video is still a good current overal test.
Shot mostly with DJI Osmo Action 3 (OA3). 4K60. Mostly HB, but sometimes changed fov.
Pictures and occasional still video clips are from Sony RX100m7.
1st, 2nd and 3rd timelapses (at ~ 14:32) taken with OA3, DJI Pocket 2 and Sony RX100m7, respectively.
Looks great. If this was typical of what most people were shooting with the Action 3 then I doubt there’d be many complaints. Some really nice scenery and views, especially on top of the hills/ mountains. Very nice
