I didnt,  there is a lot of interference at the quarry making it hard to get smooth footage.

The size of the digger puts it nicely into perspective, doesn't it.

They are quarrying for stone and sand I believe.

A cement factory has opened up on the site and there is a constant stream of cement lorries leaving to build all the new flats in that area.

Yes,   its a huge site but there is something there that interferes with the signal so limited to about 200m.

A bit of zoom comes in handy in those circumstances

No wonder that site looked so busy in the shot.

Funny, I just discussed a 'IG ready' workspace some seem to have (posting music stuff).
Very tidy with some visual nonsense going on that nobody has close to their instruments while making music.
But it looks good on IG..

The roads around there are a nightmare,  most of the country lanes are quite narrow and the cement lorries dont like moving over.

Yeah, nothing 'wrong' with it, but I don't have such a space.
It is more functional than visual.

But from what I heard YT is going to make shorts be another 'reason' for being able to monetize your channel. I think you will need 1 mln views before that counts.
But at least I can try.
The watch hours is not going as I was hoping.
Staying around 2000h per year.
50% of what YT wants it to be.....

At full  4x zoom the image does get a bit soft.  but at 2x (optical only) it's not bad.

I've seen some similar roads other places also.  Seems the cement trucks, with their ultra heavy loads, don't like to get close to the edge of road.  However, the weight they carry does tear up the roads over time as in making many cracks that continue to grow wider and some even turn into pot holes.

I pref not to drive along scraping the bushes,  it really wrecks the paint.

I hear you and I'm sure some of the bushes cause worse scrapes than others.  Nobody likes to do touch paint either.  I've lucked out a few times and was able to get out a few surface scratches with some 1000 grit sandpaper.  Then clearcoat back over it.

Ive got some polish compound that I can use with a special pad on my cordless random sander,  works well for the light stuff,  luckily I've not had anything deep for a while.

Yeah, the light stuff is not bad.  Fortunately, I haven't had a deep scratch in a long time.  If I get one of those I'll probable just have a body shop take care of it.

There are companies here that do smart repairs and they come to you and do it.

Nice, I never even considered there'd be a mobile service for that.  I guess that I should have since companies here offer a mobile windshield replacement service.  I did see where a guy outfitted his large van and goes on site to do lawn mower, generator and pressure washer repairs.  The back of his van is like a mini machine shop with grinders, etc.  He even carries a lot of common spare parts.

I think mobile windshield repair is a bit of a dying service,   now that many new cars have arrays of sensors and cameras they can't be done outside of the dealerships as they all need to be checked and recalibrated.

One of the major mobile repair services here does in fact have the mobile capability to complete the entire job at your location.  Most don't and let you know up front that a trip to the dealership afterwards will be required.  Lots of older cars are still on the road and don't have the cameras and sensors in the windshield so I guess that is how they survive.  Some of them also install window tint as a side business.
