I am having an isssue with a customers S-1000 and 5Dmkiii HD Gimbal. We are on our second GCU for this bird. We updated the GCU using the DJI Z-15 Assistant for the 5D on the 5D downloads page. We are using Z-15 Assistant 1.4. Previous to updating, the gimbal would flail wildly. Spinning and trying to kill itself. We updated the GCU and it showed BMPCC Assistant instead of 5D like it did previous to updating. We sent that GCU back to DJI LA for repair. We installed another BRAND NEW GCU for the 5DHD and upon updating that GCU, we got the same result. BMPCC Assistant. I received a notice from DJI (as a dealer) that made us aware of this issue, so I know DJI IS AWARE of this problem. Months later from the DJI Announcement, this issue has not been fixed or addressed in any manor. Has anyone else succesfully updated a Z15 5D GCU in the 1.4 Assistant? What can we do to fix this issue that does not involve sending the second GCU back to DJI for reflashing? Please advise if possible.
